Gila RPGs June Mailer
Gearing Up For Round 2
Hey everyone,
The first half of the year is wrapping up, which means it’s time to get ready for round 2. The second half of the year is usually a lot busier for me. I’ve got three conventions I have a booth at (GenCon, Gamehole Con, and PAX Unplugged). I’ve got a big Kickstarter launching on July 29 (Dragon Slayers). I’ve got projects to work on!
So let’s get ourselves ready for round 2 with the important Gila news you need to know.
THORN & DUSK Preorders!
My two diceless and healthless games, THORN and DUSK are getting printed! In fact, the DUSK books just arrived yesterday, and THORN should be arriving sometime next week.
If you want to get a copy of one of these, I’ve only done small print runs of them to see what the general interest is like. Snag a copy from my store and I’ll get it in the mail ASAP along with the other preorders.
Or, if you’ll be at GenCon, I’ll have a small bundle of them in my booth (#564).
Vacation
I’m going on my usual vacation in July! I will out of the country for essentially the entire month. That means lots of relaxing for me (I’ll still design because I can’t turn it off). It also means that I will not be fulfilling any orders from my store during that time.
So, if you want one of those preorders I just mentioned, or anything else from my store, get the order in before the end of June! Otherwise you’ll be waiting until August.
Conventions
Like I mentioned above, I’ll be at three conventions later this year! GenCon and Gamehole Con have already assigned booth spaces, so you should add my booths to your list of places to visit if you’ll be attending the cons!

As I make this move towards being a full-time designer, I realize it’s important to have a place we can call the Gila RPGs community. I’ve reopened my discord server, and you can join it if you’d like with the button below!
New Place For Design Posts
One thing I’ve realized is that a lot of you signed up for this mailing list to get monthly mailers and game announcements, but not my design posts. My bad! I’ll stop spamming you with those here.
I’m going to stop posting my game design blogs/posts here, and start posting them on my Patreon. Those posts in particular will be free to access, not behind a Patron paywall. However, if you do want to become a Patron, you’ll get access to the WIP mechanical stuff I’m working on (plus you’ll be helping support a full-time designer).
Dragon Slayers Kickstarter
Dragon Slayers is going to kick off on July 29th! If you haven’t already, please consider following and sharing the Kickstarter page so that we can have a really successful campaign!
Wrapping Up
And with that, I have to get packing. July will be quiet in terms of big announcements, but I’ll be sharing some cool stuff on my Patreon in terms of projects I’m cooking up. And as soon as I recover from vacation, it’s time to launch Dragon Slayers, and then GenCon!
